Macrostylis hirta merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Rutaceae (suku jeruk-jerukan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat-barat-daya. Nama ilmiah Macrostylis hirta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ernst Heinrich Friedrich Meyer pada tahun 1860.
