Macrotyloma fimbriatum merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Tanzania hingga kawasan tropis Afrika bagian selatan. Nama ilmiah Macrotyloma fimbriatum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hermann Harms pada tahun 1970.
