Maerua nervosa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Capparaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Zimbabwe timur hingga KwaZulu-Natal. Nama ilmiah Maerua nervosa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Christian Ferdinand Friedrich Hochstetter pada tahun 1868.
