Maesa insignis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Primulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah China (Guizhou, Guangxi, Guangdong). Nama ilmiah Maesa insignis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Woon Young Chun pada tahun 1934.
