Maesa insularis merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau pohon dari famili Primulaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh menjalar. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Fiji. Nama ilmiah Maesa insularis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama John Wynn Gillespie pada tahun 1930.
