Maesa latifolia adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Primulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Jawa. Di Indonesia tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan nama kipait (Jawa). Nama ilmiah Maesa latifolia pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alphonse Louis Pierre Pyrame de Candolle pada tahun 1834.
