Maesa macrophylla merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Primulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Himalaya tengah dan timur, Semenanjung Malaysia. Nama ilmiah Maesa macrophylla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nathaniel Wallich pada tahun 1834.
