Maesa protracta merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Primulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Papua. Nama ilmiah Maesa protracta diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ferdinand von Mueller pada tahun 1877.
