Maesa purpureohirsuta adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Primulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Papua. Nama ilmiah Maesa purpureohirsuta diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ryōzō Kanehira pada tahun 1943.
