Maesa rugosa var. griffithii merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Primulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Himalaya timur hingga Myanmar utara. Nama ilmiah Maesa rugosa var. griffithii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Charles Baron Clarke pada tahun 1882.
