Magnolia macrophylla merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Magnoliaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Ohio hingga Amerika Serikat bagian tenggara. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan bigleaf magnolia. Nama ilmiah Magnolia macrophylla diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama André Michaux pada tahun 1803.
