Magnolia splendens merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Magnoliaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Puerto Rico timur. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan laurel magnolia. Nama ilmiah Magnolia splendens diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ignatz Urban pada tahun 1899.
