Magnolia tripetala adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Magnoliaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Serikat timur hingga Oklahoma. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan umbrella-tree. Nama ilmiah Magnolia tripetala diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1759.
