Mallotus brachythyrsus merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kalimantan (Sarawak barat daya, Kalimantan Tengah). Nama ilmiah Mallotus brachythyrsus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Elmer Drew Merrill pada tahun 1928.
