Mallotus claoxyloides merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Papua New Guinea selatan, Queensland timur, hingga New South Wales timur laut. Nama ilmiah Mallotus claoxyloides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ferdinand von Mueller pada tahun 1865.
