Mallotus fuscescens merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Sri Lanka barat daya. Nama ilmiah Mallotus fuscescens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Henry Kendrick Thwaites pada tahun 1865.
