Mallotus muticus merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan Malesia barat. Nama ilmiah Mallotus muticus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Johannes Müller Argoviensis pada tahun 1963.
