Mallotus nepalensis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Himalaya tengah hingga China (Yunnan) dan Myanmar. Nama ilmiah Mallotus nepalensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Johannes Müller Argoviensis pada tahun 1865.
