Malope trifida Cav.

Malope trifida merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Portugal selatan-tengah, Spanyol barat daya, Malta, hingga Afrika barat laut. Nama ilmiah Malope trifida pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Antonio José Cavanilles pada tahun 1786.
