Mandevilla coccinea merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Apocynaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol (geofit). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil hingga Uruguay. Nama ilmiah Mandevilla coccinea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis William Jackson Hooker pada tahun 1933.
