Mapania ferruginea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah São Tomé, Príncipe. Nama ilmiah Mapania ferruginea diperkenalkan oleh Henry Nicholas Ridley pada tahun 1887.
