Maprounea africana var. gracilis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kamerun, Rep. Kongo. Nama ilmiah Maprounea africana var. gracilis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ferdinand Albin Pax pada tahun 1912.
