Marathrum rubrum merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Podostemaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko (Jalisco, Guerrero). Nama ilmiah Marathrum rubrum mulai dipublikasikan pada tahun 1993.
