Marsypianthes chamaedrys adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko selatan hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan ortela. Nama ilmiah Marsypianthes chamaedrys diperkenalkan oleh Martin Vahl pada tahun 1891.
