Matelea castanea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Apocynaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko (Puebla, Oaxaca). Nama ilmiah Matelea castanea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Townshend Stith Brandegee pada tahun 1941.
