Matelea purpusii adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berkayu dari famili Apocynaceae. Spesies ini memiliki pola hidup memanjat dengan akar tetap di tanah (liana). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Meksiko (Puebla, Guerrero, Oaxaca). Nama ilmiah Matelea purpusii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Townshend Stith Brandegee pada tahun 1941.
