Matelea refracta merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Apocynaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Minas Gerais). Nama ilmiah Matelea refracta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Eugène Pierre Nicolas Fournier pada tahun 1984.
