Maytenus ponceana merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Celastraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Puerto Rico. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan ponce mayten. Nama ilmiah Maytenus ponceana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nathaniel Lord Britton pada tahun 1924.
