Maytenus pruinosa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Celastraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Amerika Selatan bagian utara. Nama ilmiah Maytenus pruinosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Siegfried Reisseck pada tahun 1861.
