Maytenus repanda merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Celastraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Meksiko (Veracruz, Oaxaca, Chiapas). Nama ilmiah Maytenus repanda pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nicolai Stepanovitch Turczaninow pada tahun 1858.
