Maytenus rigida merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Celastraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil. Nama ilmiah Maytenus rigida pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius pada tahun 1841.
