Mecardonia procumbens var. tenella merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Plantaginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil tenggara dan selatan hingga Argentina timur laut. Nama ilmiah Mecardonia procumbens var. tenella pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Adelbert von Chamisso pada tahun 1997.
