Meconopsis superba adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Papaveraceae yang memiliki siklus reproduktif hanya sekali seumur hidupnya (monokarpip). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim dingin (subalpin atau subarktik) di wilayah Bhutan barat-tengah. Nama ilmiah Meconopsis superba pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George King pada tahun 1896.
