Meconopsis wilsonii subsp. australis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Papaveraceae yang memiliki siklus reproduktif hanya sekali seumur hidupnya (monokarpip). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari China (barat laut dan Yunnan barat) hingga Myanmar timur laut. Nama ilmiah Meconopsis wilsonii subsp. australis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christopher Grey-Wilson pada tahun 2006.
