Medicago arabica adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kepulauan Kanaria, Eropa barat, Medit, hingga Kaukasia. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan spotted medick. Nama ilmiah Medicago arabica diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama William Hudson pada tahun 1762.
