Medicago cretacea merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Krym, Kaukasia utara. Nama ilmiah Medicago cretacea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Friedrich August Marschall von Bieberstein pada tahun 1808.
