Melaleuca virens merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Myrtaceae (suku jambu-jambuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Tasmania. Nama ilmiah Melaleuca virens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Lyndley Alan Craven pada tahun 2006.
