Melastoma aureum merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Sumatra. Nama ilmiah Melastoma aureum diperkenalkan oleh Reinier Cornelis Bakhuizen van den Brink pada tahun 1943.
