Melastomastrum afzelii adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari kawasan tropis Afrika bagian barat hingga Rep. Kongo. Nama ilmiah Melastomastrum afzelii diperkenalkan oleh Joseph Dalton Hooker pada tahun 1956.
