Melicoccus oliviformis subsp. intermedius merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Sapindaceae (suku lerak-lerakan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Venezuela hingga Brazil utara dan tenggara. Nama ilmiah Melicoccus oliviformis subsp. intermedius diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ludwig Adolph Timotheus Radlkofer pada tahun 2003.
