Melicope lucida merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Rutaceae (suku jeruk-jerukan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Pasifik tengah. Nama ilmiah Melicope lucida pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Asa Gray pada tahun 1951.
