Melicope obovata adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Rutaceae (suku jeruk-jerukan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kepulauan Hawaii (Maui). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan makawao melicope. Nama ilmiah Melicope obovata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Harold St. John pada tahun 1989.
