Memecylon afzelii merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari kawasan tropis Afrika barat dan barat-tengah. Nama ilmiah Memecylon afzelii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Don pada tahun 1832.
