Mendoncia phytocrenoides adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berkayu dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Spesies ini memiliki pola hidup memanjat dengan akar tetap di tanah (liana). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari kawasan tropis Afrika bagian barat-tengah hingga Angola utara. Nama ilmiah Mendoncia phytocrenoides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ernest Friedrich Gilg pada tahun 1928.
