Mentzelia humilis var. guadalupensis merupakan tumbuhan geofit dari famili Loasaceae yang memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol di pangkal batang (caudex). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah New Mexico (Pegunungan Guadalupe). Nama ilmiah Mentzelia humilis var. guadalupensis diperkenalkan oleh Richard Spellenberg pada tahun 1999.
