Mentzelia torreyi var. acerosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Loasaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol (geofit). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Idaho barat daya. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan torrey's blazingstar. Nama ilmiah Mentzelia torreyi var. acerosa diperkenalkan oleh Marcus Eugene Jones pada tahun 1947.
