Meriania excelsa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Brazil (Rio de Janeiro). Nama ilmiah Meriania excelsa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Gardner pada tahun 1886.
