Merostachys fistulosa merupakan tumbuhan bambu dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil (Minas Gerais hingga Paraná). Nama ilmiah Merostachys fistulosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johann Christoph Döll pada tahun 1880.
