Mesanthemum pubescens merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Eriocaulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Madagaskar tengah. Nama ilmiah Mesanthemum pubescens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jean-Baptiste Lamarck pada tahun 1856.
