Mesembryanthemum hypertrophicum merupakan tumbuhan sukulen yang tumbuh semusim dari famili Aizoaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Namibia barat daya hingga Provinsi Cape sisi barat laut. Nama ilmiah Mesembryanthemum hypertrophicum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Moritz Kurt Dinter pada tahun 1923.
